People@Work is part of the G-Force Group of companies, who have a proud and well established history in the Geelong Region for more than 30 years. Over time we have extended into broader regional areas and the northern corridor of Melbourne with offices placed to support the Greater Geelong and Ballarat regions, together with offices in Wyndham and partner facilities in Melbourne.

G-Force is a not-for-profit organisation with a clear mandate to work with people and the community. With an annual turnover exceeding 22m and 600 employees in all contexts, we partner with, and experience daily the challenges faced by both businesses and individuals.

 

Driven by Sustainability 

Sustainability lies close the heart of G-Force’s reason for being and we are proud that we have directly contributed more than $4m to the local community organisations over the past few years. We partner with Give Where You Live, a local charitable foundation, as well as other not-for-profit community based organisations such as Headspace, GROW and G21. We have a measurable and demonstrable history of living our values. We also boast a strong track record of engaging in successful business partnerships to affect the best practice outcomes.

 

All Aspects of Employment

Employment is the focus if our business, with our strategic purpose for 2016-2019 articulated very simply – to put people into jobs and do it well – with respect, vision and innovation. People@Work (G-Force’s Corporate and Financial Services) work in Permanent, Temporary and Contract capacities, across the blue and white collar, through middle management and executive in a range of functional roles. We also have outplacement and career counselling, psychometric testing, analysis and interpretation.

We are part of the GForce Group, a registered Not-For-Profit organisation in Geelong.

Vaz is a prominent business leader in the Geelong Region. He was previously the Managing Director of Danum Engineering, a successful Mechanical Engineering Contractor, a division of the publicly listed EVZ Ltd Group of companies. Vaz also holds a number of other Directorships with privately owned companies.
Laurie Conole

Laurie is the principal of Laurie Conole and assoc. Laurie’s experience includes twelve years internal and thirty years external consulting on local and international assignments. As a process consultant he has facilitated many major strategic planning projects with executive and board groups in large and mid-sized organisations in the public and private sector as well as not-for-profit organisation assignments.
Denis Peacock

Deputy Chair

Denis is a certified practicing accountant and chartered secretary, holding long standing membership of CPA Australia and the Institute of Corporate Managers, Secretaries and Administrators. He is also a registered company auditor with extensive experience in financial management, strategic and business planning and corporate governance.
Todd Devine

Todd has more than 20 years experience in the property industry as a valuer and property consultant. He established his own consultancy practice, Devine Mapleson Property Consultants in Geelong in 1999 which he successfully managed until 2009, merging with other businesses to create Opteon (Victoria), the largest independent valuation and property consultancy firm in Victoria.
Joanna Monahan

Joanna Monahan

Director

Joanna Monahan is the principal at Monahan Legal. Joanna is a taxation and superannuation expert and has a Master of Laws, with a focus in taxation. Joanna is a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist in Tax Law. In these areas she provides practical advice to accountants, businesses and individuals in relation to business structuring, succession planning, business agreements, agribusiness and asset protection.

Elaine Carbines (BA Monash, Dip Ed Monash, GAICD) is the CEO of G21 – The Geelong Region Alliance. G21 is the Regional Strategic Planning Committee covering the municipalities of Greater Geelong, Surf Coast, Colac Otway, Golden Plains and Queenscliffe in Victoria, Australia.
Bill Mithen

Bill Mithen

Director

Bill is Chief Executive Officer of Geelong’s leading philanthropic organisation, the Give Where You Live Foundation. Through this role he has a strong understanding of the Geelong Community Services sector and an involvement with many not-for-profit organisations. Prior to this he was the Australian Operations Director at Save the Children Australia and responsible for all their Australian programming, commercial operations, volunteers and members.

Our Story

People@Work is a non-for-profit organisation that has its origin in regional Victoria. Our core business revolves around people – temporary or permanent staff in a diverse range of industries and functionalities. Your business has the advantage of using a local agency who has a clear directive to put more people into local jobs. We are not measured on time and “tick the box” candidate interviews.
